Rose Print Overalls & White Shirt

Good Morning Ladies,

Love overalls! I remember when I was a kid I used to love wearing my denim overalls with a camisole and booties and/or mule. Being able to wear them many years after and still be stylish is all I can ask for :-). But wait, the overall I am wearing here is very unusual: they are actually palazzo pants (with floral patterns) with suspenders. So girly and so fun! Thoughts?

La Rive Gauche, La Seine Paris

Hello ladies,

It is confirmed! I do have a new love: graphic tee. I love how soft and girly they are made of now. I own about 3 of them and I think I will be ordering a few more. Have you noticed how cute they are like this one here, here, here, here and here(I just can't help it) and how versatile they can be.  I will definitely get 3 more of them (lol). They are so easy to wear and so perfect with a pair of jeans or a midi skirt (I know I don't like jeans, but I have already tried one of them with my boyfriend jeans, the one I worn here).

Pastel & Floral

Good morning Ladies,
I hope that you all had a good weekend. Mine was pretty busy... I will share some more about it in the coming days.  I think that Spring and pastel colors are a perfect match and I really like this floral camisole.  I got it last year from WetSeal. I usually don't shop there and I have never been to one of their stores but I was happy to find some really nice basics at a bargain price online. I will certainly be back to check their 5 for $20 section

High-neck Blouse & Cropped pants

Hello Ladies,

Hope you are doing well, Weekend is right around the corner and I can't wait to spend a few more hours in my bed.

I like the softness of this high-neck blush blouse and how it brings the white cropped pants and the khaki blazer together. Classy, chic yet fun. Thoughts?

4.21.2015

Polka Dots & Graphic Tee

Good morning Ladies,

I like polka dots they are so fun yet classy and elegant. Also, the fact that the pattern is black and white makes it even more classy + the pink waistband makes it even cuter. I went for a graphic tee with pink cropped blazer. About graphic tees, I Thoughts?

Peplum Top & Boyfriend Jeans

Good morning Ladies,

I like blazers, particularly that one (it has an expensive look, can I say that?). The reason why I like blazers is quite simple. When you are working in an environment where you are meeting top of state officials and large enterprise executives on a regular basis, always looking good is a MUST. Now if you live far from town it is tiring to go back home after work just to change and then drive back for a happy hour or a get together with friends. So What if I make sure that I can easily go from the work attire to a more casual look just by taking off the blazer, swapping of shoes and still looking good. Got it?

As for me I am a piece of work, you will find multiple pair of shoes and blazers and handbags and more in my car (go figure what's in my head). In my defense, since I am living far from town, it is easier for me to just play with what I have in the car to come up with a casual look .

Here you will notice that I even went further, I switched for a pair of cozy boyfriend jeans. Talking about boyfriend jeans, I am not a fan but I really like the fit of these jeans. I know they are supposed to be loose but for me a pair of jeans must hug my curves or it's a "no-no" but I am pretty happy with them, they have a nice fit. I know that they also come in a girly version (with enough stretch to keep the curves happy) but I wanted to go for the real thing. I also like the fact that they have a darker fabric underneath so I don't have to show my legs. Thoughts?

Plaid Shirt & Chambray Joggers

Happy weekend ladies,

Chambray joggers & plaid shirt, I definitely love the combo. I felt in love the minute I saw this plaid shirt on F21. I also love chambray (see old chambray posts here & here). I looked everywhere and was not able to find the booties I wanted to wear with them (I was in a rush and you don't want to see my messy closet). Next time, I will definitely go with booties.

I like everything about a chambray shirt: the mix of colors, the fit, the fabric... Talking about fabric they tend to be different depending of the brand. I like the texture of the ones from Old Navy and Chadwick of Boston better than the one I have from F21 (actually have about 5 plaid shirt to date). I also like the fact that I can wear them with almost everything from a pair of boyfriend jeans, shorts, or denim skirt to dressy pants & blazers.

Paisley Boxy Cropped Blouse

Good day Ladies,

I am feeling exited because the weekend is right around the corner Yeah!  I really like the mix of colors here. The paisley blouse makes a perfect combination with the blush blazer and the olive green trouser. Pink and purple are my all time favorite colors and I think they are perfect for Spring!

Other colors for Spring
Apricot, Blush Nudes, Olive, Avocado Green, Pale Sherbet (Orange), Pearl Cool Gray, Charcoal, Soft Whites and Ivories, and Dusty Rose.

I would recommend to give the following patterns a try for spring:
Floral, nautical, stripes, polka dots, plaid, gingham, paisley, chambray. Be bold, be fabulous!

Patterned Trouser & Nude Blazer

Hello Ladies,

I love this trouser and the fact that I can wear it with so many things is a plus. Today I went for a blush blouse & nude blazer but I recently worn it with black blazer and a soft coral blouse. Whenever my agenda does not include meeting with the "big" officials or other VIP/corporate clients, I take the opportunity to play around with the fun pieces of my closet. Thoughts?

Black&Nude

Good morning Ladies,

Black and Nude for today as I had to attend a funeral in the morning. I really like this shirt dress, sexy yet elegant. I also love the fabric (linen) in fact, I love everything about it the side pockets, the front, the back ... I wish they had more colors available (very old dress can't recall from where I got it)...

Thanks so much for following along with me and a special thanks to all my anonymous followers (yes, I can see you lol).

Welcome to Week 24 of the Who's Wearing What Wednesdays linky party!!  If you're new to the party, welcome.  If not, welcome back!!   Our party is really growing fast.  Be sure to share this party with others, so that we can watch it grow even more!

Spring is in the air and the flowers are blooming!

This is a beautiful and very feminine look for this mom to be (I couldn't find her name anywhere on her blog, so if you know it please provide it to me).  She looks so beautiful in this lovely lavender dress.  I like the mesh panel at the bottom.  She adds a floral print blazer with a nice cut and style to it.  Her yellow pumps help bring out the color in the blazer.  She is absolutely glowing.   See more at her blog, Willfully Elegant.

Workflow - Dark Suits

Happy Monday Ladies,

I love suits and this one reminds me of Olivia Pope (lol). It is curious to see how many pieces in my wardrobe that are actually similar to Olivia's. I have been contemplating at the OP collection at The Limited and haven't found my love yet beside this cape that was on sale (they did not have my size available)...

Top 10 Food for Beautiful & Healthy Hair

Happy Weekend Ladies,

I know it can be pretty challenging to eat well . I admit that this is a challenge for me that's why I always take additional supplements for my skin, hair and nails. I came across this article while browsing and I thought of sharing this with you. You will probably not be able to follow every step of it but it might inspire you on how to better take care of yourself...

Better-looking hair can start at your next meal.

"Just like every other part of your body, the cells and processes that support strong, vibrant hair depend on a balanced diet," says New York nutritionist Lisa Drayer, MA, RD, author of The Beauty Diet.
It can take longer to notice changes (both good or bad!) in your hair than in your skin. For example, "just one week with a poor diet can yield acne flare-ups or dry, sallow skin within days," says New York City dermatologist Cybele Fishman, MD, "but with hair, it can take a few months for a nutritional deficiency or the effects of a crash diet to show up." The nutrients you eat today help fortify the hair follicle -- from which each strand is born -- and the scalp that surrounds it. "Healthier follicles? Healthier hair. Healthier scalp? Healthier hair!" Drayer says. Of course, there's more to your hair than what you eat. Smoking, hormonal imbalances, and not enough sleep can also affect how your hair looks and feels. No magic nutrient can make up for those concerns. Still, you have a lot more leverage than you might think. If you eat a balanced, varied, protein-rich diet that focuses on the following 10 foods, you'll be giving your hair the TLC it needs and deserves.

1. Salmon
Besides being rich in protein and vitamin D (both are key to strong hair) the omega-3 fatty acids found in this tasty cold-water fish are the true superstar. Your body can't make those fatty acids, which your body needs to grow hair. About 3% of the hair shaft is make up of these fatty acids, Drayer says. Omega-3s are also found in cell membranes in the skin of your scalp, and in the natural oils that keep your scalp and hair hydrated.

Other options: If salmon doesn't thrill you, you can also get essential fatty acids from fish like herring, sardines, trout, and mackerel, as well as avocado, pumpkin seeds, and walnuts (see below for more wonderful things about walnuts.)

2. Walnuts
These are the only type of nut that have a significant amount of omega-3 fatty acids. They're also rich in biotin and vitamin E, which helps protect your cells from DNA damage. Since your hair rarely gets much shielding from the sun, this is especially great, Drayer says. Too little biotin can lead to hair loss. Walnuts also have copper, a mineral that helps keep your natural hair color rich and lustrous, Fishman says.
Other options: Try using walnut oil in your salad dressing or stir-fry instead of canola or safflower, Fishman says.
3. Oysters
Oysters are rich in zinc, a lack of which can lead to hair loss (even in your eyelashes), as well as a dry, flaky scalp. Three ounces has a whopping 493% of your daily value. You can get some zinc through fortified cereals and whole grain breads, but oysters can boast a good level of protein too. "Remember, hair is about 97% protein," Drayer says. Without enough protein, your body can't replace the hairs that you naturally shed every day and what you do make can be dry, brittle, or weak.
Other options: Get your fill of zinc with nuts, beef, and eggs.

4. Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes are a great source of the antioxidant beta carotene, which your body turns into vitamin A. "Basically, every cell of the body cannot function without enough A," Fishman says. It also helps protect and produce the oils that sustain your scalp, and being low on vitamin A can even leave you with itchy, irksome dandruff.
Other options: Carrots, cantaloupe, mangoes, pumpkin, and apricots are all good sources of beta carotene.

5. Eggs
A great source of protein, eggs are loaded with four key minerals: zinc, selenium, sulfur, and iron. Iron is especially important, because it helps cells carry oxygen to the hair follicles, and too little iron (anemia) is a major cause of hair loss, particularly in women, Drayer says.
Other options: You can also boost your iron stores with animal sources, including chicken, fish, pork, and beef.

6. Spinach
The iron, beta carotene, folate, and vitamin C in spinach help keep hair follicles healthy and scalp oils circulating.
Other options: Try similarly nutrient-rich dark, leafy vegetables such as broccoli, kale, and Swiss chard.

7. Lentils
Tiny but mighty, these legumes are teeming with protein, iron, zinc, and biotin, says Fishman, making it a great staple for vegetarian, vegans, and meat eaters.
Other options: Toss other beans such as soybeans (the young ones are called edamame) and kidney beans into your soup or salad.

8. Greek yogurt
Cruise the dairy aisle for low-fat options such as Greek yogurt, which is high in hair-friendly protein, vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid -- an ingredient you'll often see on hair care product labels), and vitamin D. Emerging research links vitamin D and hair follicle health, but exactly how that works isn't clear, Fishman says.
Other options: Cottage cheese, low-fat cheese, and skim milk also fit the bill.

9. Blueberries
Exotic super fruits may come and go but when it comes to vitamin C, "It's hard to top this nutrient superhero," Drayer says. C is critical for circulation to the scalp and supports the tiny blood vessels that feed the follicles. Too little C in your diet can lead to hair breakage.
Other options: Kiwis, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and strawberries.

10. Poultry
This everyday entree is extraordinary when it comes to protein, as well as hair-healthy zinc, iron, and B vitamins to keep strands strong and plentiful. Because hair is nearly all protein, "foods rich in protein are literally giving you the building blocks for hair," Drayer says.
Other options: Lean cuts of beef are another good source of lean protein.

Thank you for reading. Until next time
Xoxo,
Moumous

Dress & Floral Blazer

Good morning girlfriends,

Have you noticed any change? Oh Yes, LaMoumous has an all-new look (with a few minor things to fix but I am so excited)! So many changes to come, Please visit soon for more details about my new projects. Now that I am ready to focus on the marketing side of my project the camera has become a must and this week is definitely my deadline to make it happen. Just can't wait! Patience is not one of my strength (loll).

In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy another fun spring outfit. I usually go for pants as an everyday outfit to work but this week dresses have won over trousers and so far I am liking it :-). I like the color of the dress so fresh, sooo spring!

I am co-hosting here with Tameka a very sweet girl that I was very pleased to virtually met. Pure coincidence, we both are wearing dresses :-)

Thanks for Stopping by!

Until next time,

XoXo,

Welcome to Week 23 of the Who's Wearing What Wednesdays linky party!!  If you're new to the party, welcome.  If not, welcome back!!   Our party is really growing fast.  Be sure to share this party with others, so that we can watch it grow even more!

You ladies really inspire me with your fashion and confidence in your own skin!  I love it!

This past weekend was bittersweet.  I had to attend a funeral for a cousin's son.  Then I attended a baby shower for another cousin's future son.  It was sad to say goodbye to a loved one, although funerals provide the opportunity to reconnect with loved ones you haven't seen is a while.  I had a great time at the baby shower, anticipating a new loved one.  Cherish the ones that are close to us now, before they are gone.

I decided to wear one of my new JustFab purchases for the baby shower.  The V-neck dress was a steal at only $40, and it fit perfectly.  I love the color and the eyelet detail.  I paired it with nude pumps.   And topped it off with my lovely twist-out (my hair had better looked great since I had spent 3 1/2 hours cleansing, deep conditioning and twisting it).
Dress:  JustFab  Shoes:  Payless (old)
